STRATEGIC GOAL 1
We strengthen our Kahungunutanga through the use Te Reo Māori me ona tikanga in a respectful and mana enhancing way.
OBJECTIVES

All our Kaimahi grow their confidence to role model the use of regular Te Reo Māori.

Provide opportunities for whānau and hapori to express their Māoritanga through Te Reo and Tikanga.

Continue to grow and support whānau and hapori to learn and understand Kahungunutanga.
-
Maintain the Pou Tikanga roles across the organisation. Utilise the Board of Management Kaumātua expertise to support the roles.
STRATEGIC GOAL 2
Kahungunu Executive value their kaimahi and support their development to continue the positive contribution they make to meet the needs of whānau and hapori
OBJECTIVES

Build cultural and professional capability across the whole organisation.

Review and strengthen internal process for new kaimahi.

More opportunities for whanaungatanga within our organisation.

Our Board develops strong succession plans to future proof Kahungunu Executive.

Kaimahi salaries are reviewed annually, and adjustments are planned and budgeted for accordingly.

Annual performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner and contribute to annual training and professional plans.
STRATEGIC GOAL 3
Strategic relationships and partnerships are formed and strengthened throughout the organisation.
OBJECTIVES

Strengthen relationship with Tihei Takitimu Iwi Māori Partnership Board (IMPB) to inform their work.

Scope out an academic or professional partnership – sister city to provide mutual benefit to our development.

Our Board continues to form key relationships with Government Organisations to support the service delivery and needs of whānau.

Our Board explorer Philanthropic pathway and partnership for financial security and innovative opportunities.

STRATEGIC GOAL 4
Expand and deliver high quality services and programmes to meet the existing and new needs of our whānau.
OBJECTIVES

Ensure current and efficient operating models are being used.

KE to be a one stop shop (ideally under one roof) and continues to expand on service delivery for whānau.

We scope and explore options to expand our services to meet the needs of whanau, opening a daycare, more opportunities for hapū māmā and an in-house hairdresser and lawyer.

Look at innovative and practical ways to address the access and quality health issues experienced by our whānau with a mobile GP practice, dental practice, respite care and grow medical cannabis.
STRATEGIC GOAL 5
Kahungunu Executive operates and acquires infrastructure and systems which optimize the organisations efficiency and effectiveness for hapori, board and kaimahi.
OBJECTIVES

We continue to investigate options for one building for all kaimahi and plans may include a reception area, client consult rooms, a gym and pool.

IT infrastructures are reviewed and updated to reflect the evolving digital world.

Our Marketing and Branding are relevant and across all social media platform.

Success stories are celebrated in the community regularly in all forms of media.
STRATEGIC GOAL 6
KE strives to exercise their Mana Motuhake by being self-sufficient and becoming less reliant on Government funding requirements.
OBJECTIVES

Our Board and senior management develop a plan to access Philanthropic funders and seek donors.

KE Management team explores options for sustainable revenue generating options.

Explore the different housing options. Explore property ownership options.

Invest in options to generate income in line with our strategic directions for e.g. Early Childhood services, kaumātua housing.
